Friyay!!! This week’s Fashion Picks come to you from the fabulous Little Mistress again, which I have fallen in love with all of their collections. <3 This is my blogger round up – being chic while blogging!    Paper Dolls White Crochet Split Front Maxi – I can’t get enough of this dress. It is feminine, bohemian, but still can be tough. I love how this dress yells “Free Spirit” so fitting for the light and love theme that we each encompass.              Valfre Valfre Bruno Sweatshirt – Because so many of us are creative entrepreneurs, we believe…

Creating art is a therapy for me…when I pick up a paintbrush or open my sketchbook I immediately feel a wave of calmness enter me. The stress of the world melts away. I become the center of the balance beam.  “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” ~ Thomas Merton It frees me. It allows stubborn emotions to flow out of me, whether it is trauma or joy, the feelings can pour freely from my soul, leaving my heart and my mind clear.  “Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints…

My new snack obsession is Fage’ Greek Yogurt…with the fresh fruit toss in. A snack I don’t go most days without, these are great to take to the office with me and squeeze in for a mid-morning eat during one of my many conference calls. Besides loving the taste of these I know that I am fueling my body with a snack that shares many health benefits and helps me stay in control of my diet. Yogurt is high in protein.  Contains probiotics that aid in healthy gut functions. Packed with vitamins such as potassium, Vitamin D, Vitamins B5 and…

” The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”  ~ Socrates Blogging takes a lot of work, a lot of energy, time, creativity, and focus. It can be wearing but it has such a rewarding end result. I have been blogging for a little over six years now and I have had my ups and my downs. I have learned through trial and error and I have also had more growth in the past few months than I’ve ever expected. I’ve found that the key to my…

Sundays are my favorite day of the week. Especially when I get to spend it with my ma. Tackling some errands, a wonderful Sunday Brunch, and even snuck a little shopping in there…and it was National Hat Day! Not tooting my horn, but a lucky day it was since I found my wide brimmed hat that actually fits my head and doesn’t swallow me whole (I’ve only been searching for over a year!).  Started the day out a little slow but on a wonderfully positive note. I love mornings that I don’t have to push myself out of bed! Cooked…

So many of us are out to grab the world by the horns this year, myself included. I’m currently finishing up You Are A Badass: How To Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero which has given me some wonderful revelations, especially the chapters about Fear and Money. I just ordered Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert which I’m super psyched to get started on, especially after listening to her TED Talks Podcast. I’ve said before that I really feel 2017 has a lot of magic to give this year and I am excited to…

After catching the sick bug going around this past week, I landed myself home sick to recover a couple of days…I could have pushed through but then I would have landed myself in burnout mode so I tucked away on Thursday and stayed in bed! Oh the awful burnout, we’ve all been there at some time or another. When I go into burnout mode everything shuts down, my mind goes blank, my body gets weak, and my life becomes a bit of a blur…so recovery is a must!  Today, I’ve decided to take a Selfish Saturday! I slept in, am still in…

Lady-like but strong, elegant and sophisticated style picks. This week’s fashion picks has outfits for fierce office wear, darling dinner dates, and chatty lunches with the girls.   This blouse is my favorite pick of the week. I love the all-over bird print. This blouse has a wonderful balance between creativity and polish. A great top for the office for an editor’s meeting. Or pair with black leggings and heels for early evening cocktails with your bestie.             This wrap dress is a beautiful neutral khaki green. Provides comfort but professionalism, great for a Mondays…

I had it on my bucket list last year to paint a self portrait. I took it off my bucket list this year. Though I haven’t sat down in front of the mirror and painted a mere image of myself, I have painted many self portraits. Each piece of my artwork also has a piece of me in them. A reflection of who I am, how I feel, how I see. Artwork is an expression of ourselves, in each piece a part of our individuality is captured. Therefore I will always be painting a self portrait in some way. In…

Let’s say I’m one of those types that thrives better in warmer climates…yet I live in the crazy-can’t make up it’s mind about weather state of Pennsylvania so come January it gets a little chilly around here. From January through March we get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of freezing rain and the occasional peaceful snow dump. Don’t get me wrong, I love snow, it’s beautiful – at first…then it turns into a slushy mess – and I’m just not feeling the so cold temperatures we get around here. I try and rebel so much against winter that I have…
