So super late, must admit, the last week has felt a bit overwhelming, just so much that has crept up on my plate. In some moments I feel like quitting and crawling under the covers and sleeping right through all the chaos but in most of the moments I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. When I finally got home last evening I was having a “ah, forget it, I’m so tired moment” but then some little things with big impact to me happened…I received two of my product shipments for my upcoming store launch (more…

I love clothes and style, after all I had a focus in Fashion Design & Merchandising for part of my schooling. Moving to a ‘Capsule Wardrobe’ (even though I do think they are a wonderful idea!) is just not something that is a realistic goal for me right now but that doesn’t mean I can’t slender my wardrobe down. Each season, I make time for a good closet clean-out and overhaul. Minimalism…

Amber and I have been friends for several years. We spent part of our careers together in a very fast paced and stressful environment where we turned to each other to keep each other going. But this wasn’t a sustainable routine that was building the lives of our dreams. Many nights we would speak and share how drained we felt from the very long days.  A year ago, Amber discovered she was pregnant with two beautiful, identical twin girls. This was her aha moment in life. She took the road to becoming a stay-at-home wife and mother. Now, I’ve known…

So I found myself feeling down and out yesterday morning, less than motivated to get anything done on a very busy week. Sick days are never convenient especially for us “always keeping busy and always have something to do” types. But when your body calls for some healing time you shouldn’t ignore it. king at my to-do list, however, I knew it wasn’t a day I could give up completely to stay in bed. Luckily I have a job that I can remote into and work from home on days needed and with budget time approaching soon I couldn’t feel…

Today’s #ArtThursday is brought to you by me…and the benefits of Art Therapy. Did you know that practicing art or even by doing a craft it can act as a meditative practice for you? This phrase has stuck with me for several years now, “The grass is greener where you water it.”  So many times we look at others and their lives, especially with all the social media “glamour” out there nowadays, that we wonder what it would be like to be in their shoes. The thing is, we don’t know their story, we don’t know what they went through to get to where they are. We cannot be anyone other than ourselves in truth but we can focus on nurturing ourselves and building our lives to be what we want and get what…

Artistic expression is good for the soul. Art therapy has proven to be effective in so many ways. It can be a release, a place to de-stress, allowing the inventive and innovative side of yourself to be exposed.  I wanted to create a place where we can all share our creations to inspire each other on our journeys and artistic endeavors. Whether that be an expressive painting or a craft you’ve conquered, this is the place to share.  An InLinkz Link-up
