I spent the day by myself but not alone…kept tucked away at home most of the day with my pup but it was not short of anything but an amazing day. I love the New Year so much (I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before). A day spent reflecting, planning, and dreaming of reaching my goals in 2017. Sunday dinner was nothing fancy today, but still special to me. I have to be honest, I was going to hit the drive-thru at McD’s but then Perkin’s brightly lit sign yelled “eggs!” to me…I enjoyed a quiet dinner for one in a comfy booth – I went all in with the Hearty Man’s Breakfast tonight, heck why not? I’m living it up! While waiting for my food to come, I sat and read through everyone’s fun New Year’s post and came upon something so exciting I almost cried – Julie V at Hello Peaceful Mind posted 12 Secrets From Experts To Be Happy And Successful which I am so delighted to be able to be a part of! Such an awesome way to start the new year! Today was also the launch of ’31 Days To A New You’ – my 31 day healthy habits challenge and email series, my first interactive series on my blog. A great start to the year, here’s what I have in mind for 2017:

 Health: Become more fit by eating healthier and exercising regularly. Become stronger and more energized.

Finance: Build better financial stability. Pay off debt, save to buy a house in 2018, spend less.

Career: Continue to grow blog and features on blog, create a source of income from blog, launch e-boutique, keep painting and creating art, get into more shows and sell more paintings.

Bucket List: Travel more, get certifications as a Crystal Healer and as a Life Coach, finish writing and publish my novel, take dance lessons, have more adventures!

Heart, Mind, Soul: Read more, learn more, deepen my spirituality, get back to daily meditation and yoga.

  1. I love all your positive goals for this year. I have a lot of the same goals. Health seems to always make the top of my list for resolutions but I always struggle with taking time to do healthy things for myself. This year I’m hoping to do more yoga and healthy eating. And drinking more water!

  2. You have such wonderful goals for the year and your challenge sounds really great! 2017 is going to be my year to become more fit as well, I am going to learn yoga to deal with neck and back injuries.

  3. Love the fact you are using words as goals for this year. I think mine is ‘dedication’ as I graduate this year and need to knuckle down!

  4. Love all these goals! I definitely am trying to get fit and save more money but traveling more is definitely there as well!

  5. These are amazing goals for the upcoming year!!! I really want to work on my heart, mind and soul because I feel like if I can get those straight I can achieve anything!!!

  6. I too want to be more healthy this year. I’ve been working out every day this year. I hope to continue this. I just want to be a better person and better myself.

  7. I am loving the trend of a word of the year. I need to pick mine and get with it! Focusing on my blog is definitely going to be important this year.

  8. It’s nice to sit down and think about all your goals for the year. I think it’s awesome to be able to do that so that you know what to do next and how you’re going to do it. I wish you luck for this year and hope that you achieve all your goals!

  9. I love all of your words for the year! I need to do something like that as well. My favorite one on your list is “mindfulness” I need to be more mindful as well.

  10. I love the different categories you used for your goals . Also your words of the year are great ( I have never heard of anyone doing this until this past week) . Good luck at achieving your goals
