How Keeping Busy & Balanced is Making Me Happier

Happy Thursday lovelies!

I can’t believe it’s almost May. I’ve been so busy pushing onward towards my dreams and working on loving myself more. Crazy how when you’re such a busy bee how fast time goes by! I figured it’s been a little bit since I’ve given you all a good update as to what I’ve been up to so I thought I’d share a bit today!

I’ve been more social (in my own introverted way).

I have been a social butterfly on Twitter lately – making new friends and connections that have been life changing for me. It may sound silly, but the platform is helping me learn to be a bit more vulnerable and let people in. And because of it, I’ve made some awesome new pals! There is such an amazing group of people out there waiting and eager to connect with each other. Through these connections I’ve been able to launch my Self-Care Sunday series with Nikki and I have some awesome guests coming by like Chloe and Melanie. And I’ll be introducing more of some of my new blogging pals coming up! I’ve also found that these Twitter buddies are an excellent addition to my support group – we all need friends like that <3

Blogging Grooving.

I feel like I’m in a good groove in my blogging lately which has helped me write more from my heart and feel more relaxed when I write. This has been transforming for me as an individual and as a blogger/entrepreneur. I’ve been making new connections that have been giving me great opportunities as an influencer. I have been having so much fun sharing these great things with you!

I’m going after my dreams!

It’s been busy days at the office but I’ve still found the motivation and inspiration to go after some new ventures too. Isn’t it amazing how energizing passion for something can be!

I’ve recently taken on the Marketing & Public Relations Chair Position of The York Art Association Board and am super excited about the initiatives and promotions will be putting into play. As a marketer and an artist, this has been such a fun avenue to take.

I also have been sharing my experiences as a Young Living Essential Oils member more with you. And have plans to have some fun workshops to share with you this year. So stay tuned!

I’m still painting of course. This is the most therapeutic activity for me. And I keep growing and pushing myself to learn new techniques. I’ve also found a way to sport some of my artwork on products in my Etsy Shop, PhoenixAnnSt. My first projects being my ‘Open Minded’ Collection that donates part of my proceeds to the National Brain Tumor Society in my father’s name (he was a warrior in surviving his brain surgery a few years back) and my ‘Fire Garden’ products. Plus of course, I’m still using my shop FiveInspired as a wonderful creative outlet and am constantly adding new designs!

And if that’s not enough (being the A-Type Creative Person of course it’s not!) I also have just joined Trades of Hope as a Compassionate Entrepreneur. This is such a fantastic road for me because it allows me to fulfill my desire to continue to help change the world. Trades of Hope is such an amazing company that carries a mission to empower women out of poverty. I’m really good at shopping for a cause!

Keeping self-care a priority.

Between all my busy bee projects and initiatives, I’m making time to take care of myself. I’ve added a “breathe” moment to each of my days. This is my time to myself to just sit and de stress from the day. It allows me the space to clear my mind and to calm myself so I stay strong in my day.

I’ve also started ‘Project Skinny’ with my mom. This is a fun way to get myself refocused on healthy eating and fitness. It’s been super motivating and I feel so much more energetic and healthy already!

I decided in January that this was going to be a year to heal, grow, and thrive. And I’m keeping that promise to myself!

  1. Everything is a little busy with me at the moment, as you know, and I find it hard to add in those ‘breathe’ moments. I barely got 15 minutes to myself yesterday, but it was the first 15 minutes I had had in almost a week and I was losing it.

Once you get into self-care it’s important to maintain it because it becomes so essential for you to be able to cope.

  2. It’s wonderful to make new friends in the blogging community. I’ve recently decided, well since the weather has allowed it to make more time for exercise outdoors.

It looks like 2019 is going great for you 🙂 Way to go!

  3. Congratulations on your new blogger friendships from Twitter! I too found the platform as an easy outlet to make genuine friendships. Also kudos to you for your new PR position, that’s exciting!🤗 You’re right about being busy but scheduling to time to breathe for yourself. Lately I haven’t been taking personal time for me but I’m going to SCHEDULE some time aside for myself. Thanks for this post, it was inspiring!
