About Me

Hey you! So I imagine you’re wondering who is behind the screen? Who’s this girl that thinks she’s all that? Well, I don’t always think that, only sometimes, just here and there. But seriously, you should be thinking that about yourself too! You should be having those rockstar and superstar moments every day! The buzz is big right now about self-care, self-love, self-discovery – all those self words. We are a community searching for motivation and inspiration every where we go…I hope that’s why you’re here!

I’m here because I believe the buzz needs to be heard. I spent a good part of my life putting my needs at the bottom and not truly following the path I desired for my life. I struggled with frustrations on a daily basis, found that I was harboring anger and resentment, and just all around felt drained and uninspired…that was me. I’m here to say you can change that. Now that doesn’t mean I never have bad days because I do. Being a positive person doesn’t mean you never fall down, it means you get back up. It doesn’t mean that you don’t ever have a negative thought or never get angry. I’ve learned a lot about myself over the last several years, and I’m still learning. I’m learning to put myself first. I’m learning that by taking care of myself makes me a better mother, a better friend, a better daughter, a better me. I want to share the lessons I’ve learned with you, so I created Do Five Things A Day.

My blog offers an eclectic mix of excitement, passion, and a story to tell of self-discovery, development and love. I focus on topics about taking care of yourself, and learning to find beauty and light in every moment and adventure life has to bring us. I aspireĀ to inspire you in your everyday life and to help you to live towards your dreams and to make the most out of every day by sharing my own experiences and stories.
