It’s no secret that I’ve been really hammering down and trying to build a simpler life…I always manage to have a lot on my plate though and that seems to be how it’s going to be for a bit yet…but I am working on organizing my life so that I can complete more tasks efficiently, add more mindfulness into my days, and focus on my main priorities first. I’ve been de-cluttering like crazy (you can check out my Closet Clean Out Post here), working on redefining my blog and blog series to align more with my goals in life and…

Ah the mighty to-do list. I have a saying for myself that goes, “if it makes it to the to-do list it’ll get done, if it doesn’t then it gets lost.” I depend on my to-do list like a road map to my duties, so much that it can get a bit out of hand sometimes. I have been working on mastering the to-do list process for many months (okay, seriously years) and I think I’ve finally nailed down a process that is working for me. It might continue to evolve as I do but for now I think I’ve…

Amber and I have been friends for several years. We spent part of our careers together in a very fast paced and stressful environment where we turned to each other to keep each other going. But this wasn’t a sustainable routine that was building the lives of our dreams. Many nights we would speak and share how drained we felt from the very long days.  A year ago, Amber discovered she was pregnant with two beautiful, identical twin girls. This was her aha moment in life. She took the road to becoming a stay-at-home wife and mother. Now, I’ve known…

Sometimes I need a little help getting motivated, a little kick in the butt to get back to tasks. I have found TED Talks to be extremely inspiring and motivating. They speak truth, they speak action, they speak change. A key way to keep motivated to work towards your goals is to surround yourself with motivation and positive thoughts of change. Surround yourself with positive, motivated people. Post motivational quotes at your desk, in your planner, and in your room. Read an affirmation every morning. Listen to music while you work or clean. Read motivational books and listen to motivational…

Hello all my loves!  So as many of you have been reading, I am on a journey towards living a more minimalistic lifestyle. I want a life with more simplicity and joy, filled with more adventures and experiences, and less stuff. I want to create a space that isn’t just filled with busyness but is filled with tasks and activities that are full of joy and that are helping me move forward on a path towards reaching my goals and my dreams. So this…

I went eleven days without writing, without posting, without sharing my thoughts with you all. I wasn’t MIA, I was on a bit of a different path, a side street for a bit. I took some time and dove into my office life as a marketing manager, I took some time to sleep, I took some time to process the moons, to clean out my closet. I took some time to think, a lot of time to think…and now I am here, ready to go. Sometimes we need to take some steps back, take a look at where we are,…

Our beliefs can transform our lives. Many of my beliefs I have carried with me year after year,  helping shape me into the person I am today and the person I strive to be. These beliefs have continued to inspire and motivate me in each of my days. They give me strength and hope and the fire to keep going no matter what obstacles or heartache come my way. Your beliefs become your perspective.  What you put out into the world is what will be returned to you. Life is a circle, if you send good energy out, that is…

Do you ever have those days where you just can’t seem to get motivated? That was me today. Maybe it was the rainy weather or the becoming calmness of finally shortening my to-do list but the drive just wasn’t there. I managed to get my blog post socialized (thank goodness I wrote it last night!), I forced myself to shower and to do my daily exercises and I started with the most tedious task from my to-do list for the office, Facebook Posts. And let’s just say thank you for the frozen potato skins in the freezer or I might not…
