Earlier this week I was approached to participate in a campaign called ‘Resistance of a Different Kind’. It is a campaign with a vision to spread gratitude and joy to fight back against the negativity and challenges we are faced with in today’s world. I absolutely love this approach. It disengages from the violence and hate that we unfortunately see so often on our social media channels, our news stations and hear in the conversations among us. Instead it helps us refocus on the positive things in our lives, the things we are blessed for. Feeling inspired by this campaign I was motivated to launch a 12 weeks of Gratitude campaign myself. How often are we truly sitting down and reminding ourselves of all the things we are thankful for? Did you know that studies have shown that when we focus more on what we’re grateful it boosts our happiness levels? It helps us move forward in leaping strides and go after our dreams with more confidence and positivity. It helps us manage stress levels better…the benefits go on. So with all these thoughts I thought it was time I put myself back in that routine. Each week I’ll be sharing something I’m grateful for (and I hope you’ll join in too!). Check the post each Monday to see my updates and share your comments for what you’re thankful for that week! And also make sure to stop by and say hi to Katie from 52beautifulthings.com for more inspiration!
- I’m thankful to have a roof over my head every night.
- My friends and family that bring smiles to my days.
- Netflix and Amazon Prime – yeah I know this one is pretty materialistic but I love having the freedom to watch what I want to watch when I want to watch it. I’m a happy girl curling up with my laptop and a good movie!
- Yoga and Meditation.
- An opportunity in every situation.
- My son.
- The amazing bloggers and lady boss tribes out there! I mean when you need a pump of motivation or need help working through a stumble, these ladies are on it! So much support and inspiration!
I love gratitude. I just wrote about it for Thanksgiving. It definitely gives you peace.
Gratitude is the great way to thank people who always support you no matter what.
Being thankful for everything you have in life is so right. Writing a list of gratitude totally sets into happiness and joy. Great tradition!

I’ve been practicing gratitude journaling and it really has helped to age my perspective. Even on bad days, I have so much to be thankful for. I really love the idea of combating negativity with positivity.
I love the feeling of gratitude. Sometimes we are so busy we forget to be grateful for the small stuff.
I think practicing gratitude daily is something that we should all do more often! And you are right, there are many studies that have examined the power of positive thinking and how it relates to mood boosts!
I love this! It is so great to have stuff like this floating around to help combat all the craziness happening right now!
This is a really good idea. It’s also something that we can look back on and remember what we were grateful for as the years go by.
I am so grateful with all the things I have in my life. It si a great feeling to be grateful.
Wow, this is such a great read for me, being thankful for all the things that you have in your life will definitely lighten up your day.
Definitely a good idea this time of year!
I love this idea, It’s so good to think about what you are grateful and thankful for
That’s really true, we have so many things we should be grateful each day of our life but, easily we tend to give more attention to what we don’t have…
Great idea, I really want to try it myself! 🙂
Being grateful for all things in your life, good or bad, is a good thing. I did a couple of posts around thanksgiving last years about the things I am grateful for, which included my abusive ex-husband.
I agree with that. Sometimes it can be hard for us to accept that the challenging times we’ve had are also important but it’s those times in which we can discover and grow the most.
