I got the note on Twitter a few days ago…a note from Katie from 52beautifulthings.com sharing her wonderful initiative to fight the craziness we have in our world, ‘Resistance of a Different Kind’. She asked if I would join her in her resistance. I couldn’t resist not joining her cause. You can check out her post with my grateful list here.
I asked Katie to share her message with us tonight in hopes that you’ll join too.
Isn’t the internet magical? You can connect with strangers on Twitter using hashtags and find out in a few quick seconds there are hundreds of believers in good and beautiful things. My name is Katie and I’m the quiet, quirky, seeker of beautiful things behind the blog 52 Beautiful Things. Each week I write about my imperfect attempt to find good the world has to offer.
While things seem a big crazy out there right now – and yes it totally is – I find myself finding comfort and solace in the practice of writing lists of good things happening right now. I’ve challenged my readers to collaboratively create a list of 1000 beautiful things happening and invite you to participate! The challenge goes until October 15th and it’s pretty easy. Send me a list of five to ten things going right in your world and I’ll share it on the blog. You can scratch it down on paper, shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment here.
Think a gratitude list mixed with a light saber to fight off the darkness.
I look forward to adding your good and beautiful things to our list!
