I’ve been isolating myself in “bloggers world” hardcore lately so this weekend I let loose a little and spent some time with my son and mom. It was worth it.
The plan was to take my son to his first horse race but 45 minutes before the start of the race they called it off due to poor track conditions…that’s the challenge with going to see a live horse race in winter. Life does this sometimes, spins us off our original plans. You just have to roll with, come up with some new ideas.
So we hit the movie theater and then grabbed a late night dinner after. My son and I proceeded to stay up until 2 am watching comedy movies – I know, I know – not the usual strict parenting moves but it was my ‘let loose’ night and it was fun. How often do you get to spend that much consecutive time with a teenager?
I balanced it out by sleeping in until 11 am Sunday morning. Lost some productivity time but it was well worth it. I’m all about the hustle and bustle of going after goals but every now and then you have to let it go and be a little wild – don’t make life not fun while you’re chasing your dreams!
Earlier this week I made sure to get in some videos from Tone Networks to keep myself motivated. “You have the Power to Change” and “Don’t let your feelings sabotage your work” were the perfect picks for this week. Below are some of my takeaways from the videos:

The videos from Tone Networks are short and sweet and they get to the point quickly which will make it easier for me to reach my mini-goal of watching one every day. This will add a little boost of information and motivation to each one of my days.
So onward to this week’s Young Living Essential Oil of the Week, Cedar wood. This is one of my favorite scents, especially this time of year, it makes me feel all warm and cozy. It’s also been proven to help alleviate inflammation which is perfect for me with my Rheumatoid Arthritis which unfortunately tends to flare up a bit during the snowy, cold days. It’s also calming and soothing, and helps relieve stress – which we can usually use a little help with during the busy holiday season. P.S. This week I’m celebrating my son – that’s him and I after our first race together, a Color Run – which yes he dumped a whole packet of yellow color powder on my head and yes he’s totally photo blocking me – but yes he’s an awesome kid.
Well, I’m heading back to grinding at my goals. I’m working on an awesome prep for the New Year so I can have more freedom and more automation in 2019…of course that means lots and lots and lots of prep work over the next two months…but it’ll be worth it!
