This will be a shorty post. This week has been pretty trying, ups and downs, overwhelmingly busy (very much so mentally). Today is my last day to co-host #LoveBlog 2020. Today’s prompt, heartache. So here’s my shortlist of some ways to help soothe heartache.
Heartache is very uncomfortable.
Uncomfortable isn’t probably even close to the right word to be used to describe heartache. It sucks. Sometimes it feels gut-wrenching. Some days it feels like your heart has been ripped out of your chest. Going through heartache is not an easy process. But it can be survived. And most of the time, it’ll strengthen us and leave us a little bit wiser to the world.

Take a long hot shower or bath Journal, a lot Lean on a close friend Watch funny movies, sometimes a good RomCom can brighten my spirits Paint, or color Cry it out some – it’s okay to cry Take a nap – extra rest and dreaming can be surprisingly inspiring Meditate; even check out a guided meditation specifically for heartache Exercise – it is a good stress-reliever and it releases endorphins Reading
The idea is to grab your list of soothing activities and do them over and over. This is a healing process, nurture yourself a little bit. It takes time to get through heartache.
